Ice Cream Demonstration - with Ben Vear of Winstone's

Heston Blumenthall: eat your heart out! On the evening of Tuesday July 10th, Ben Vear from famed local ice cream producers Winstone’s will be bringing a touch of magic using liquid nitrogen to our SBN gathering.

Book now for what promises to be a mouth-watering evening with Ben who will be showing us how to make ice cream as well as sharing some recipes from his new book 'Make your own organic ice cream'. He will also tell us more about how using social media has grown the family business – and giving us some useful tips!

Ben is a fourth generation master ice cream maker who has learnt his craft through generations of his family. His Great Grandfather Albert Winstone created Winstone’s Cotswold Ice Cream in 1925 using a family recipe for vanilla ice cream which Albert kept locked away in his safe away from prying eyes. The ice cream factory and parlour based on Minchinhampton Common, are flourishing today.

For the evening The Old Lodge have put together a delicious two-course buffet - along with a welcoming glass of Pimms and all for just £13 for SBN members (£15 for non-members)

The date is Tuesday 10th July doors open at 7pm and we’ll sit down at 7.30pm to start the demonstration. The event is open to members and guests are welcome.
